Today's Forecast

A warm start to September with highs in the 80s again today. We are slightly unsettled and could see a stray shower or thundershower this evening and early tonight, but it would be isolated. Tonight remains muggy and mild with lows in the 60s under clear to partly cloudy skies. An upper level disturbance ahead of a surface cold front may bring a few showers well after midnight through early Tuesday morning, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms for the evening.
An approaching cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms later in the day Tuesday. Severe weather is unlikely, but with the warm, humid air in place-some stronger wind gusts are possible along with heavy rain. By Wednesday morning, the front will be exiting to the southeast and any showers will end. High pressure builds in Wednesday afternoon and Thursday, allowing for good sunshine and hot temps in the mid 80s. A pop up shower or storm is possible Thursday afternoon and a bit more likely Friday with the passing of an upper level wave. A cold front will bring likely wet weather Saturday through Sunday, then drier and cooler early next week.
