Today's Forecast

Meteorologist Katherine Thompson here...
A cold front will slide through our region by sunrise this morning,
bringing cooler temperatures and showers across the region. Daytime highs will
be in the low to mid 50s for most of us. The parent low pressure system will
stall over the New England coast before moving away later this week, keeping
clouds and spotty showers around the rest of this afternoon, into tonight, and
into Wednesday. As high pressure slowly begins to build in from the west, and
with the low pressure system still to our east- blustery NW winds are expected
to accompany us throughout the day tomorrow and Thursday, though the rain
should end overnight Wednesday. Highs tomorrow and Thursday will be chilly,
topping off in the upper 40s to low 50s following the cold front passage. The sunshine
will return by Thursday, and looks to stay with us throughout the weekend and into
the beginning of next week-warming us back to the 60 degree mark. A weak cold
front (limited in moisture content), may swing through on Saturday, but it will
only add a few clouds to the forecast, a cool us down a little. Otherwise a
mild week ahead in the weather world!
